Stormy afternoons present challenges indeed; however, those shots that show marked atmospheric conditions stand out as lasting experiences. Only wish I could have captured the lighting as well. Thought better not… and I sprung into action as soon as the storm moved off the coast towards the Atlantic Ocean.

The stormy skies along with the swirling clouds were magical to watch and experience. I even found the reflections of those clouds in the lake as mysterious indeed. The best part: I was able to get the Zeiss Touit 12mm f/2.8 out and play a bit with it. Wow!! What a sweet lens, and so so look forward to some stars and astrophotography with it. Zeiss’s world-class build quality, along with the pristine glass quality speaks for itself.
Interestingly, I shot both raw and jpeg images with the dual Fuji card slots. I did try out the auto correction profile under Zeiss, in Adobe Camera Raw. I also noticed the correction did correct the corners, which had some slight distortion. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a super wide angle not need a bit of correction. Overall this is another winner from Zeiss!
Special thanks to Ruben at Zeiss and Mr. Steve Elkins at Bedford Camera & Video for allowing me to play and shoot with the very nice Touit X-mount lineup for Fuji XT-2. Can’t wait for a cloudless dark night!
