Big Shoot 2019 is in the books! It was a beautiful autumn weekend at Devil’s Den State Park with camping, workshops, photowalks, free loaner gear, networking, and the main event – a photo contest with over $1500 in prizes. We would like to thank our sponsors Canon, Nikon, Sony, and Fujifilm for leading the education and providing gear for participants to try out! Thank you to The Photographic Alliance of Fort Smith for providing a chili dinner and to The Photographic Society of Northwest Arkansas for leading a waterfall and cave photo excursion with photographer Joe Sparks.
For our photography contest, participants were challenged to shoot and submit images taken during the Big Shoot weekend only in categories of Landscape, Macro, and Wildlife photography. We had a lot of great submissions this year, but the judges have spoken. 1st Place winners receive a $250 Bedford Gift Card, 2nd Place winners receive a $150 Bedford Gift Card, and both Honorable Mentions receive a $50 Bedford Gift Card.
